Carrot Face

Mom took a small blog vacation...but I'm back and ready to blog. Sit back and grab some pop corn and catch up with the Herring family.

When Megan turned six months old, we started her on solid foods. Other than some obvious (and smelly!) digestive changes, she has really done well with the food -- no bad reactions. We started with rice cereal and after a few weeks, moved on to carrots. After a few funny faces of disgust, she ate them! We took some video of her first tries with the carrots, but Daddy is still working on editing it down. We'll post it if we ever get it finished!

She's also eaten green peas, squash, green beans, sweet potatoes, bananas, peaches, pears, prunes, and applesauce. The squash and green beans have been her favorite veggies, and bananas her favorite fruit.

Eating is definitely a messy part of our day. We end up with food everywhere! This picture may look messy, but this is actually a pretty clean meal!

Now, aren't you glad I didn't say grab some carrots and catch up with us!!!
